The gorgeous and talented actress have been honoured with the BEFFTA Film Icon award for her contribution to the film industry in Africa, Euroupe and globally. The Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA) awards is the biggest award ceremony in Europe and it celebrates achievements of black and ethnic personalities in showbiz globally.
Omotola is an ambassador to Amnesty International and World Food Programme. Her Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme(OYEP) foundation has helped widows in Nigeria for a better living.
