Vice president's daughter's LCD TVs & laptops souvenirs + Niger state gov.'s daughter's wedding billboard,... who/what next?

The billboard ( from LIB)
I recently read of how expensive souvenirs such as LCD TVs, laptops etc were given out to guests at the vice president Namadi Sambo's daughter's wedding in Kaduna. Now I have just read that Niger state governor Babangida Aliyu has put up a billboard on the road to celebrate his daughters wedding...and I was just wondering if this show off was necessarily.  Because before you know it, this will soon become a competition among politicians.  Then instead of focusing on more pressing state and national issues, they'll be thinking about how to beat the next person in the game of show off.

Congratulations to Mrs Mercy Johnson Okojie

Mercy Johnson and baby
I'm a big Mercy Johnson fan so when I read that she's delivered a baby girl, I just thought I had to put it up here. I love love love Mercy Johnson. Love her gestures, her acting skills and love the fact she's a strong, sexy, fierce African beauty with all the curvy feminine features. The arrival of her baby is a big end of the year blessings for her, her family, fans and the entertainment industry as a whole. A very hearty congrats to Mercy Johnson on the birth of her princess from Views247

What do you think of this couple?

Elisany da Cruz Silva and Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho
Elisany da Cruz Silva
Elisany da Cruz Silva & Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho(from The Sun)
Elisany da Cruz Silva is the world's tallest teenager. She's only 17years old but stands at 6ft 8inc tall. On the other hand, her 22years old boyfriend, Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho is only 5ft 4inc tall. You can see the difference for yourself haha...The guy dare not mess about with her. She's like a giant beside him. You can imaging what will happen if they get into a fight haha... Only thing is how do they get intimate? Other than that I really think they look great together or what do you think?

Things people do with their hair these dayz...

Hair cuts/dos have gone from the low simple or punk afro style cuts and moved on to become more interesting, creative and colourful. Either for humour, fashion or maybe to simply stand out, people do crazy things with their hair these days. Check out some below and share your views #All random Google images#

There are some weird, some creative and some cool among the hairdos above but I choose the 7th from top as my most creative. I think the 3rd one from the top is quite weird hehe... Do you agree? Which is your pick?

So the world didn't end today afterall

Random Google image
They said the world would end today but so far nothing has happened and the day is almost over. Hahaha...all those Mayan believers must be very disappointed then considering how hard they have prepared for this day.

December 21 marks the end of the 5,125-year Mayan calendar, which some said represents the end of the world although scientists and historians have argued that the end of a Mayan calendar simply signifies the end of one period and the beginning of another.

I have been hearing rumours such as this one since I was a young girl and until now, the world still haven't ended. People should learn to chill. The Bible says "no one knows the time or day". People peddling unfounded rumours should stop and get busy with other things.

Something for your weekend

Here is 'Silver Bells' by  Jim Reeves. This song takes me back memory lane when I was much more younger. My much older brother used to play everything Jim Reeves including this one and that's one of the ways I know it's Christmas. What a beautiful season Christmas is. I want to wish you the best Christmas ever. It's a season of love so however you celebrate, try extend love to anyone and everyone you can in anyway and every way possible and most importantly, don't ever forget the reason for the season.

The world ends this Friday, really?

Random Google image
According to reports, believers all over the world are preparing for doomsday which they believe would happen this coming Friday, 21/Dec/12. Even restaurants are offering 'End of the world' menu with special offers. It is reported that people are devising different means to escape the Doomsday. Some are fleeing to different places they feel will be save for them such as the undergrounds, mountains and hotels while some others are buying candles. It is also believed that the only place that would be spared from Doomsday is the village of Bugarach, France.

The rumour started in China and police have arrested some believers of  the 'Mayan Apocalypse' and confiscated leaflets and DVD and other apocalyptic propaganda which they recovered from them. Nearly half of those detained are reported to be members of the group Almighty God, which is also called Eastern Lightning. The group preaches that Jesus has reappeared as a woman in central China and has been accused of kidnapping and beating Christians to force conversions. Read more at Yahoo! if interested.

But please o where are all the Bible scholars? Is this how it was predicted in the Bible? I know a lot of unusual things are happening as described in the Bible but I'm sure the Bible didn't give any date such as the 21st of December, 2012. So if you know anything about this, please shed more light. Should we go and start preparing or should we just ignore? I'm waiting o...

Should condoms be provided in schools?

Random Google image
The rate at which the whole sex thing is going now eh...#nods heads# I would expect secondary school kids to focus on their education studying hard to make the best out of their lives and not thinking about sex and contraceptives. If it's to fight against sexually transmitted diseases or to prevent them getting pregnant at an early age, then the students should be taught to abstain. Abstinence is the answer. Kids shouldn't be encouraged to have more sex by making contraceptives available to them at no cost and pushing them into believing that they are safe with contraceptives. That is not guaranteed. #my thought#

Anyway, in Zimbabwe, some members of Parliament are calling for the distribution of contraceptives, especially condoms in all school. They believe making free condoms available in all school toilets will protect the pupils and reduce the widespread of  HIV and AIDS among school children.

What's your opinion on this? should we encourage the distribution of condoms in schools or is it a no-no?

Scary video footage of an eagle snatching off a little kid

This must have been a really scary experience for the adult in this video and even more for the little kid. It was scary for me watching it. The video footage which happened in Montreal shows an eagle snatching off a kid from the field and then dropping her on the grass. The Eagle must have been very hungry to have thought of preying on the little kid. Thank God it didn't take her too far o. I guess the kid was a bit too heavy for it to carry hahaha...hmmm Yoruba will say 'oro buruku pelerin'.  Although the video is generating some controversies with some people claiming it is fake. It doesn't look fake to me sha. Does it look fake to you? Please watch the video below and share your views.

Queen James Bible - World's first 'gay Bible' published - See how it compares

gay bible
From Daily Mail
To them it's a 'gay bible', to me it's just a book put together by someone whose mind is the devil has taken advantage of.

According to the editors, the book which has been called  the Queen James Bible "is a re-working of the King James Bible translated in a way that 'prevents homophobic misinterpretation of God's Word". The book is printed and bound in the USA and is on Amazon for $34.95. The 'author' of the book is listed as God while Jesus is listed as the 'contributor'.  In comparing one of the verses, King James version in Genesis 19:5 reads 'And they called unto Lot, and  said unto him, Where are the  men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us,  that we may know them. While the Queen James version in Genesis 19:5 reads'And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may rape and humiliate them'. If you have more time, you can read the full details at Dailymail

Wouldn't you agree with me that the world is definitely going crazy? Share your thoughts below. I would love to read from you on this issue.

Secondary school students subjected to virginity tests by principal

 Random Google image
Students of Ajuwon High School, Akute were forced to have a virginity test by their principal in her office after they were being accused of promiscuity. According to Gistmaster, the principal forced the students to her office and conducted a virginity test on them with her hand. The students have protested and parents and police have been informed but nothing have yet been done.

Somebody please help me out here. How has carrying out a virginity test become a principal's duty? That is  complete violation of the students rights. It is an abuse on their person. I do not support promiscuity in anyway whatsoever but testing if students were still virgins or not is never part of the principal's duty. I completely disapprove of it. If the so called principal was so concerned about these students, then the best thing to have done was to admonish them like a parent would do their children or better still invite their parents in to discuss it or I'm I missing the point here?

Photo of the day: Learn to appreciate life more

This images touched me when I saw them so I decided to put them up here too. I hope it inspires you too. The little boy feeding his mum is only 2years old name Vaishnavi. His mum lost both hands in an accident during construction of a building at Multai township in Madhya Pradesh in 2001.

The boy is only 2years of age and you could see from the picture his willingness to share his food with his mum. These pictures have very strong connotations which is beyond description. What you see in these pictures might be different from what I see but please learn to appreciate life more. Be thankful to God irrespective of your circumstances and always show your mum how much you love her because no matter what, she's irreplaceable.

A common prehistoric lizard named after president Barrack Obama

From Reuters

A small insect eating lizard have been named 'Obamadon Gracilis' in honour of America 44th president's toothy grin. The lizard was one of nine newly discovered species. In naming the new species, scientists from Yale and Harvard universities combined the Latin "Obamadon" for "Obama's teeth" and "gracilis," which means slender. One of the reasons researchers decided to name the lizard  after president Obama is because they both have similar physical features. More here

My sympathy to everyone affected by the Connecticut killings + video of tearful Obama

My deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the Connecticut shootings yesterday. It is very sad that someone will do such evil and cause people grief. I don't understand why some people like others to die with them. If someone is tired of living and want to die, that person should summon the courage to die alone. Why  let other people die untimely and cause their the society so much grief. Even president Barrack Obama couldn't hold back the tears. Chai! It is rather pathetic that this has to happen at this time. I pray for everyone who lost their lives and every family affected. May the good Lord give you the fortitude to bear the loss.

Pink lips anyone?

According to my findings today, pink lips seems to be the latest fashion trend among Nigerian men. Desperate young men now visits tattoo parlours to have their lower lips tattooed with a pink paint in order to get rid of the blade shade. The main reason they do it is because women find men with pink lips more attractive than those with black lips. Really? In the video below, a tattooist explains more about the new fashion craze trending among Nigerian men.

My question: Are men with pinker lips more attractive? Please watch the video and leave your opinion below.

Nollywood Victor Osuagwu's marriage held in a truck (Photos included)

Nollywood comic actor Victor Osuagwu married his long time partner, Roseline on Saturday December 8th 2012. The wedding took place in Port Harcourt and it was something different from the conventional celebrity type of wedding. Victor Osuagwu applied his comedy skills to his wedding ceremony - he used a truck instead of a car! Hahaha... how interesting! I'm sure it's Mr. Victor's idea. I quite love the idea though but whether or not I'll let that happen on my wedding is another matter for consideration. Hahaha...What do you think of the idea? would you accept to use a truck on your wedding day if you were Roseline or would you consider it as Mr. Victor?

Delta state government gives N5million to first class graduates

Delta state Gov Emmanuel Oduaghan presenting the cheque to one of the beneficiaries
Governor Oduaghan & the first class graduates at the state house in Delta
I think this is something other state governments should do (if they are not already doing it). I am highly impressed by this gesture from the Delta state government. This kind of gesture would encourage others to work hard and do better with their education. Read the report by below as posted by Delta state, Nigeria on their Facebook page.

Delta state Government under the leadership of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has today, as her custom, presented a scholarship of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000) to each of her first Class Graduates to further their educational career in any University of their choice. Delta state Government also gave Fifty Thousand naira (N50,000) each to her Students in the Nigeria Law School (2011 and 2012 Batches) to make-up their scholarship of One Hundred Thousand (N100,000) as promised by the State Government

My heart bleeds for these students...

How are these students supposed to concentrate on writing their exams when they are not sitting comfortably eh? The above image is of a secondary school in Ogun state, Nigeria and the students are reportedly writing exams while sitting on used tires because of lack of chairs. Na wah o!  I tire for Naija o. When money that is supposed to be used to improve the educational sector and other pressing issues are being used to unnecessarily fund government allowance and personal upkeep, Why won't this happen? My heart bleeds for these students and others who are going through similar situations just to get education.

$5million wristwatch as a birthday gift - A complete misuse of money!

Jay Z gift

According to reports, rap star Jayz turned 43years old yesterday and his beloved wife Beyonce bought him the most expensive wrist watch in the the world! A $5million Hublot watch also know as the 'Big Bang'. The watch is diamond encrusted and has 1,282 diamonds in total. Can you believe that? I am sorry to say that is way too much money to spend on a wrist watch. I'm sure JayZ has loads of other watches. $5million on a wrist watch is a complete waste and misuse of money. Convert that to Naira, yen, cedi, rupee, rand etc and you'll see what I mean. Na wetin? The money could have been used  for more important things. I know they probably have everything but there are people out there who are in dare need of something. There are people who need money to save their lives, people who need money to buy food, clothing, shelter all around the world, America inclusive. I think that money or at least part of it should have been used towards this cause. This is just my view sha. I would like to know what you think too ?

"75% of Nigerian women wants successful men" - Do you agree?

Random Google image

With the rate of divorce, separation and breakups in homes and relationship these days, there is evident that people no longer value marriage and the sanctity of keeping pure for the other half. I find it very disturbing that a lot of marriages are breaking up especially marriages of celebrities whom most people look up to and aspire to be like. Homosexuality is on the increase and ladies are becoming very independent and most would rather remain single than be married. Morality is also fast becoming a thing of the past. I am so afraid for the future. If things are this bad already, picture how it's going to be in the next 10/20 years. What example are you setting down for your children, your younger ones, people who look up to you? I value the chastity of marriage and I believe in it. I know it takes two but with understanding, that 'two' can make it work although some case are exempted. Most ladies want men who can offer them everything. Some would even go to any extent to get what they want including giving their pride away.

Little wonder then that Barrister Fred Agbaje, popular Lagos based lawyer and human rights activist in an interview recently with Yes Magazine said that "75% of Nigerian women wants successful men".  In other words, only 25% of Nigerian women are wife materials and ready to marry or date any man  irrespective of their status. I think the former is more dignified. Do you agree? Please share your view below?

Maami water - Does she really exist?

Have you ever been told by a pastor that you are possessed by the water spirit?  Do you remember the story of the little mermaid and the different stories that we used to hear about maami water while we were growing up? Below is a video documentary called 'Lady in the water' aka Maami water. It is a documentary by 37thSTATE about the myth of maami water in Africa and beyond.

Some people worship her, others said they've seen her, some others said it's only a myth but for me, it's still a mystery. What about you? what do you think? Does she really exists? Does a beautiful lady actually live at the bottom of the river? Is she a representative of evil or good? Watch the documentary and share your views below

Is the Pope conforming with the world by joining Twitter

Pope Benedict XVI will launch a personal Twitter account under the user name @Pontifex.  He made the move in order to send spiritual messages across, answer questions about faith and reach out to younger followers. He will be tweeting in eight different languages including Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, German, Polish, Arabic and French. The user name @Pontifex was chosen because it means ‘pope and it also means bridge builder’.

There are already a host of fake pope account on Twitter but the real Pope Benedict's first tweet will be on December 12. The account has been launched and already has over 99,000 followers.

I think the social media is a great way of reaching people these days but what's your view on this? Do you think it's a great move by by the Pope or would you say he's conforming to the world?

'LOL' does not mean 'Laugh out loud', It is an abbreviation for endorsing Satan

I found this while surfing the web and thought I should share. Maybe it's true. Maybe someone just made it up. I don't know but it's says 'LOL' is an abbreviation for ' lucifer our lord'. If this is true, that means a lot of us, myself inclusive have been using the abbreviation ignorantly to mean 'laugh out loud'. Now I'm skeptical about using it. God help us. What';s your view on this?

"Sack Sanusi now"- NLC responds

alt

Recently, the CBN governor Mallam Sanusi Lamido in a statement advised that the federal government sack 50% of his labour force to save the nation's economy. If you missed the story, find it HERE. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have responded to that statement and I am 100% in support of NLC.

In a statement signed by its President, Abdulwahed Omar, NLC said: “It is obvious Sanusi was never qualified for the office of CBN Governor , and he must be asked to leave the office as he has shown more than enough incompetence and contempt for the Nigerian people.”

A lot others have been showing disapproval over Mallam Sanusi's statement which I completely understand  and support. I think Mallam Sanusi is to too comfortable in his office. He must be a very unsympathectic person to have made that statement. I absolutely in support of NLC. If you want the story, read it HERE

What would you do if you happen to be in this situation?

It's a very very scary  situation to be in but thank God it's only a prank. I LOL while I was watching it because it's a very funny video although for the victims, it must have been pretty scary for them. I would probably have freaked out if I was one of the people in that lift. I just simply can't imagine it. A ghost ke? How come  lol...but anyway if that was you in the lift with a 'ghost', How would you have reacted?

clothes with built-in fan - What's your view?

              Japanese Air Conditioned Clothing

Japanese company, Kuchofuku Co. Ltd, has designed a line of air conditioned clothing with built-in fans. The president of the company said the idea came about when he thought to himself "...that we don’t need to cool the entire room, just as long as people in it feel cool.” Businessmen who have no choice but to wear long-sleeved shirts in their hot workplaces have really shown interest in the air conditioned clothing. The least expensive piece of air conditioned clothing costs 11,000 yen (an equivalent of US $130), but the lithium-ion battery-powered jacket can provide sufficient cooling for up to 11 hours on a single charge, consuming far less power than that used by a normal air conditioner.

So there you have it. clothes with built-in fan. I think this is a great invention and would be very useful in countries such as Nigeria. What's your view on this? Do you like the product and would you wear it? Please share your comments below.

"You have to sack half of Civil servants to save the economy of the country"- CBN Gov., Mallam Sanusi Lamido- Do you agree?

CBN Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

Of all the possible solutions there can be to save a country's economy from collapsing, firing workers is the number one option for CBN governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido.

According to a report in Nigerian Tribune, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has asked the Federal Government to downsize the labour force if it must achieve anything meaningful as far as economic resuscitation is concerned in the country.

Mallam Sanusi made the plea during his presentation at the second Annual Capital Market Committee retreat that was held on Tuesday, in Warri, Delta State. In his statement, he said  “At the moment, 70 per cent of Federal Government’s revenue goes for payment of salaries and entitlement of civil servants, leaving 30 per cent for development of 167 million Nigerians. That means that for every naira government earns, 70 kobo is consumed by civil servants...You have to fire half of the civil service because the revenue government has is supposed to be for 167 million Nigerians. Any society where government spends 70 per cent of its revenue on its civil service has a problem. It is unsustainable”.

Seems to me that Mallam Sanusi have forgotten that Nigeria  is a country where unemployment is already a big issue and constantly on the increase. For me, proffering possible solutions to the lack of employments should be prioritized and that will consequently lead to economic boost and reduction of crimes. I suggest Mallam Sanusi should lead by example by first giving himself the sack.

What's your take on this? Do you agree or disagree with Mallam sanusi's statement?

Can you name your baby after a social networking site such as Facebook and Twitter?

From Yahoo!

I thought choosing a name for our newborn should be something carefully thought out as names can have big impacts in people's lives but these days, it seems people just choose a name for their babies without  considering the impact it might have on the baby or how socially acceptable such names are. I also thought 'meanings' should be a major factor in choosing a name for a baby.

Naming babies after social networking sites seem to becoming a trend these days. In the news today, a Twitter loving parents named their beautiful baby daughter the 'Hashtag'. The Jamesons family made the announcement via Facebook with a picture of the adorable baby.

Last year, an Egyptian family with crazy love for Facebook named their baby 'Like'. I also read of  another  man from Egypt, Al-ahram Ibrahim who was very happy with the social networking site Facebook that he named his daughter 'Facebook'. Lol...

Maybe the next couple will call their baby 'Instagram' lol...but seriously what happened if the there's no more Facebook or Twitter? I'm curious to know how these parents would explain the meanings of these names to their children when they are a bit older but would you consider naming your baby after a social networking site?

Does age really matter?

Hon. Rotimi Makinde & Oyebanke

I read in the news today that popular Yoruba actor and politician, Hon. Rotimi Makinde is planning to marry a 20years old super model, Oyebanke Oyelami. According to the story, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has defended his decision to take Miss Oyebanke, a final year student of political science in Obafemi Awolowo University and the reigning beauty queen of Osun state but the relationship seem to be generating a lot of controversies.

There's nothing wrong in two people getting married as long as they are both consenting adults but what seem to be causing controversies is the age gap between the couple. Hon. Rotimi Makinde is 40years old. That's double the age of the lady.

My question now is does age really matter? I mean the two are adults who seem to be in love with each other so what's the fuss about? Or do you think money and power  is the major influence here? Would you marry someone that young or that old as the case maybe?  Please leave your 'views' below.

A true life story: My husband dumped me at our wedding reception

Random Google image
The story you are about to read is a true life story. Please read very carefully. You might learn one or two  lessons from it.

Like every single lady, I have always looked forward to the wedding day of my dream   but what happened at my wedding reception shocked everyone.

I was in my second year at the university when I met KP. It was at a friend’s engagement party. KP was my type of man - tall, muscular and very handsome. We had arranged a dinner together at my place a few weeks after we met. While we were at the table, KP told me how he felt about me and I couldn’t hide my feelings either.  We cuddled up in the sofa afterwards getting to know each other better. He had just graduated from the university after studying chemical engineering and he is the only son in a family of four.  KP called me every day after that evening and our feelings became stronger each day.

A few months into our relationship, I was graduating from university. KP organized a party for me. We had most of our friends and family around. It was a fulfilling day. Later that same day KP went down on his knee and proposed to me. I could remember how ecstatic I was that night I couldn’t even talk. I just took the ring off him and put it on my finger. It was a dream come true. At 24 years old, everything was happening fast for me. I couldn’t be happier.
We started making necessary arrangements for our wedding and it was all going smoothly until KP’s mum visited me.  About four weeks before the wedding, I decided to invite her to my flat. It was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life! She picked up on everything I did. She didn’t like my cooking either. Most annoyingly was when she complained about my wedding dress. She said it was too revealing. She even said that I was spending excessively. I felt terrible. I couldn’t tell KP about it because I wasn’t sure how he would react. Instead, I called Abi my friend and told her all that had happened. What I didn’t know was that Abi who also happened to be KP’s cousin has a very close relationship with KP’s mum.
Finally came the wedding day. I felt like a princess walking into the church during the procession in my father’s arm while the members of the congregation were standing. After taking the vows, the officiating minister announced to the church, “I present to you Mr and Mrs Ade”. It was the best day of my life but things took a very bad turn when we got to the reception. KP called me aside. I observed that he didn’t look happy but I couldn’t have been prepared for what he was about to say. He took off his ring and said affirmatively, “I’m done. I don’t want to continue with this wedding. I don’t think I want to spend the rest of life with you anymore”. I remained calm but sceptical. I didn’t know whether to take him seriously or not.  Then he started to walk away. “KP…KP…” I called out running after him but he wouldn’t stop. Instead he went straight for his car and drove off
As I made my way back into the hall, my maid of honour tried reassuring me as I cried. What just happened? I thought it was just my imagination but it wasn’t as I also later found out that KP, his mum, Abi and most of his family members and friends had left the reception hall. It was supposed to be my happiest day but it turned out to be the worst day of my life. How do I explain to the unsuspecting guests that the man I just got married to a few minutes ago just dumped me? I couldn’t face it so I pleaded with my mum to explain the situation to them.

I cried all night trying to figure out what I did wrong. Could KP be seeing someone else or perhaps his mother had persuaded him to leave me. She never liked me anyway! I wished I had answers but none was forthcoming. I rang KP’s phone over and over again but he didn’t pick. Abi didn’t answer my call either. Could they have connived together  to ruin my most special day?
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months yet no news from either KP, his mum or Abi. I was still trying hard to move on with my life when I got a surprise phone call from Abi.  She told me she was sorry and admitted she was behind the breakup between me and KP. Before the wedding day, Abi had told KP and his mum so many awful things about me that weren’t true. I’m not sure why she did what she did but I guess it was borne out of envy. I have cut off all contacts with her and trying to move on and although I am still single, I’m not searching.
Hmm...what would you do if you are the lady in this  story? Do you think KP was right to have ended the marriage just few hours into it? Please leave your comments below.

"I shaved my hair to honour cancer patients". - Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar

Halima Abubakar
You must have noticed that Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar recently shaved off all the hair on her head. I initially thought she did it for a movie role but I was wrong. It was something better than that. According to the actress, she shaved her hair to support the call against cancer and to honour the victims of cancer as she finds it really shocking that people can go through such traumatic experience.

Aww...what a way to honour others...and my 'views' on her shaved hair, I think it really suits her. She looks fab or don't you think so?

My 'views', I think she killed it! Do you?

Now that's worth applauding!

                        Bishop Oyedepo                                         Prophet TB Joshua

Just yesterday, in one of my post, “The present state of the church today”, I mentioned how church leaders spend lavishly and live large at the expense of church members and how they could do more for the society. Well today I’m happy to share what I found in the news with you.

According to reports, Bishop David Oyedepo, The founder of Living Faith Church International popularly called Winners Chapel, has donated N40 million for the purchase of science equipment for four community schools in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The benefiting schools include Omu-Aran High School, Ofe-Aram Commercial College,  Ogbo Grammar School and Aperan Comprehensive College. The bishop who himself is an indigene of Omu Aran   donated the money for the rehabilitation of Science Laboratories in the community.

Another Prophet TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) who is already well known for his philanthropic work also gave out £100,000 (that’s about N26million) to Yinka oduwole, a Nigerian student to study for PhD in the University of Oxford. Forbes estimated that Prophet Joshua has spent up to $20m in charitable activities alone in the last three years. Thousands of less privileged students are currently studying in universities across Nigeria and around the world courtesy of his scholarship program.

Now this is what I’m talking about (#Smiles) and I think leaders who do these kind of things should be applauded. I’m sure a lot others are doing one or two things to contribute to the society too that have not been heard. I am also sure a lot of other church leaders can learn for these and be pushed into doing more for their communities.
