Mariana Ong’ango Ololo pictured above is a 78years old pupil at Obambo Primary School. As you would have rightly guessed, Mariana is the oldest pupil in the school. The grandmother from Siaya county was reported to have showed up at the school unannounced on 14 May, in a school uniform with a shaved head and accompanied by her 56-year-old son George. Even with her poor health, Mariana the mother of eight children reportedly started school because of an interest in politics and was inspired to do so by the election of Uhuru Kenyatta. She told the Daily Nation, "“Uhuru Kenyatta is not an old man, but took over as fourth President because he has got an education. That is a clear indicator that a person cannot rank highly in society without an education.”

Shows that grandma still got ambitions even at 78...  Click below to see more photos

A clear message that it's never too late to start afresh irrespective of your circumstances. You have no excuse whatsoever. No matter how many times you've tried, no matter how many times you've failed, you can always try again. The worse thing would be to give up and not give it another go only because you've failed once. You have no excuse.
