This is such a shame. There are many more of his types out there. He just happened to be unfortunate. He's probably feeling sorry about all his crimes and hopefully others can learn from his downfall... watch video below

James Ibori pleaded guilty to save Nigeria
"Ibori pleaded guilty to the 10 count charge of stealing, money laundering and corruption because as an elder statesman and patriotic Nigerian, it was in the best interest of the country that its name get saved the embarrassment of a long court process that would have had the country's name bandied for the wrong reasons in a foreign court".This must be the biggest joke of the century! Pleading guilty to such huge offence he did not commit. He must really love his nation Nigeria.

Former Delta state governor Ibori pleads guilty in London court
Former Delta state governor Chief James Ibori has pleaded guilty to 10 counts of money laundering and conspiracy to defraud in his UK trial. The governor who initially denied all the charges was first arrested by Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in 2007. He then fled to Dubai but was yet again rearrested by the EFCC but a British warrant led to him being detained in the Middle East nation. All his attempt to fight extradition failed and he was sent to UK to face trials.
The British police accused him of stealing £250million over 8years.
Chief Ibori's sentencing has been adjourned to April 16 & 17 while confiscation hearing will be in August.
