I read in the news today that
popular Yoruba actor and politician, Hon. Rotimi Makinde is planning
to marry a 20years old super model, Oyebanke Oyelami. According to the story,
Hon. Rotimi Makinde has defended his decision to take Miss Oyebanke, a final year
student of political science in Obafemi Awolowo University and the reigning
beauty queen of Osun state but the relationship seem to be generating a lot of
controversies.
There's nothing wrong in two people
getting married as long as they are both consenting adults but what seem to be
causing controversies is the age gap between the couple. Hon. Rotimi Makinde is
40years old. That's double the age of the lady.
My question now is does age really matter?
I mean the two are adults who seem to be in love with each other so what's the
fuss about? Or do you think money and power is the major influence here?
Would you marry someone that young or that old as the case maybe? Please

honestly, there is no issue with that so far the fundamental principle "love" is there. for instance, my dad is older than my mum with 10 solid years. not for once has issue of ages comes in form of disagreement, even if there's little conflict the age never surface.
